On Thursday, August 28, 2014, Missouri Senator Curls hosted a state department tour to various community gardens and social service agencies in the Kansas City area. Switzer Neighborhood Farm was selected as a tour stop for State Legislative Liaisons to see first-hand how and why KC leads the state in urban gardening and to offer available resources to assist community gardeners.
